Replacement Bus

The line is shut for track work, so you are the train. Run the replacement service between stations, mind the limits, and hold the timetable together.

How to Play

• Track work has closed the line, so the replacement bus is the service
• Six stations along the Bankstown line, each with a scheduled time to hit
• You work the throttle and the brake, and the posted limit changes as you go
• The traffic ahead is all moving, so you catch slower buses and trucks and go round
• Stop inside the yellow box at a station and the doors open by themselves
• Dwell is what boarding costs: one wheelchair takes longer than four standing passengers
• The waiting queue is posted ahead, so you can bank a few seconds for a slow board
• The dash tells you if you are running early or late, and within twenty seconds either way counts as on time
• Run it well and the road gets busier, so a clean early run earns you more traffic
• Speeding, running past a station and incidents all come off your score

• ↑ or W: throttle · ↓ or S: brake
• ← → or A/D: change lane
• SPACE: sound the horn, which persuades a dawdling car to pull over
• On a phone, use the pedals and arrows on the dashboard
