Core value
Our team, our customers, our partners. We listen to build a world class platform for the bus industry.
Busable came out of years spent on regional bus contract projects at Transport for NSW — PTIPS, Transport Connected Buses, and a lot of time riding the front of school buses. The pattern was the same everywhere, and it was operators who named it long before anyone wrote a line of code.
I realised that regional bus operators were under-served with software solutions — it was all fragmented, expensive, aging or severely unsupported.
The first Busable back office shipped in December 2021, built alongside the regional operators who would go on to run it. Graham Webber joined to shape what got built first — three decades in the bus industry, and he had lived most of these problems himself.
We are a small, deliberately mixed group across engineering, operations and the industry itself. Everyone gets a say and everyone is expected to use it. Ideas get taken seriously enough to be tested. We know we do not have all the answers, so we research, experiment and iterate until the answer shows up.
Picton Buslines, Busabout Wagga Wagga, Caboolture Buslines, Trinity Lutheran College, the Whitmore Group, Transport for NSW. Operators across New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria who tell us what is not working in a depot, and what they tell us ends up in the platform.
The platform is the sum of what the industry told us it needed. That is why it works in a depot.
